The
advantages of the New 5000 Series Dish Network receiver
include a built in LocalLink tuner, an audio/video input
jack, and a built in caller ID decoder. How does the Dish
Network receiver work?
The LocalLink tuner allows the user to connect existing
off-air TV antenna or cable TV straight into the receiver
along with the cable from the satellite dish so you can
enjoy satellite TV and your usual cable TV as well. The
tuner is basically the same as the others that come with
Dish Network receiver systems, but it makes everything
easier by integrating your local off-air channels with the
satellite channels and including it all in the programming
guide so that the user can take advantage of the VCR timer
controls to record satellite programming as well as local
channels.
The second feature allows the user to connect another
audio/video device, (such as a DVD player) and easily
switch from one device to another using the remote
control.
The third addition displays the name and number of the
calling party on your TV screen. A subscription to caller
ID service from your phone company is needed to use this
feature.
So, if your looking to further upgrade your satellite
system to make everything more integrated and easier to
use, check out the New 5000 Series Dish Network receiver.
